Woodland
offers a Sand Mill unit for grinding the coarse materials by wet
process most effectively. The particle size can be brought upto
1 micron.
PRINCIPLE : The grinding material is pumped from the inlet
provided at the bottom of the unit to the grinding shell which consist
of grinding media (The grinding media can be glass beads, Aluminum
oxide beads, ceramic balls). With the high speed rotation of the
rotating assembly, the grinding material is subject to an intensive
friction, shearing effect & pressure. The adjustable pump capacity
determines the duration in the flow rate.
CONSTURCTION : The Sand mill consist of a vertical vessel
with a dynamically balanced central rotating discs. The discs are
made up of glass-filled polypropylene plastic moulded with S.S-316
insert. All the contact parts are of stainless steel. An external
jacket for product cooling is also provided. The main drive is installed
at the top with a suitable Turbo coupling. The Turbo coupling provides
smooth acceleration, eliminating the initial overload on the motor
and the motor can be rated for running power instead of starting
power. A pump is equipped with infinitely variable speed gear unit
to adjust the flow rate at the inlet.
