Products >> Piston Valve, Piston valves

Piston valve ensures tight shutoff with zero leakage, hence being best solution for controlling steam and thermic fluid line. Piston valve is maintenance free Seatless and Glandless valve. The piston slides between the two packing rings specially imported to ensure life long trouble free service of our piston valves. Sealing rings of piston valves do not rotate, hence there is minimum ware and practically our piston valves have no warring part. Packing rings are separated by a ported lantern bush. The bottom ring rests on a cast machined groove of the body and upper packing ring is  held and pressed by the bonnet. When bonnet nuts are tightened evenly, it in-turn presses the lantern bush and the bottom ring. Piston valve mechanism is aligned with such a simple procedure and ready for operation. The bottom ring of piston valve serves the purpose of the seat while the upper ring serves the purpose of a gland. Advantage of piston valve is when any leakage is observed from a specially provided hole in the bonnet, it can be stopped immediately without much efforts. Piston valve leakage can be easily stopped by tightening the bonnet nuts evenly, with the valve in closed position. Pressure drop in piston valve is considered as high as 18%.

HEART OF PISTON VALVE: Sealing rings of piston valve are imported ring set to ensure trouble free life.

APPLICATION: Piston valve finds it's best application in control of steam & hot oil line. Piston valve also has numerous applications in the control of liquids and gases also. Piston valve adapts as regulating valve.

RANGE: Piston valve body is normally of Cast Steel with trims of Stainless Steel. Piston valves are available in class 150 and class 300 rating. The flange of piston valve can be supplied in accordance to BS, DIN, ASA, IS dimensions and can also be supplied having end connection screwed or socket weld. The range for the piston valve is from 15 mm to 200mm

ACTUATION: Piston valves can be supplied with electrical and pneumatic actuation also.
